Sukuk Issued through SPVs in Iran Capital Market
Total size of sukuk issued through SPVs in Iran Capital market from 2011 to 2020 is 493,380 billion IRR and total outstanding sukuk equals to 438,032 billion IRR.
In 2019, Iranian corporates issued different types of sukuk including, Ijarah, Manfaah, MBS, Murabaha and Discount Securities totaling 73,820 million IRR; and share of Iranian government in Islamic finance through SPV needed sukuk issuances is 140,000 billion IRR.
In the last quarter of 2019, Iranian government issued mid-term Manfaa sukuk three times based on the government future revenues from tax.
